Port of Green Bay

Connecting the Midwest to the Rest of the World

The Port of Green Bay serves as the vital western gate of the St. Lawrence Seaway. As one of the oldest ports on the Great Lakes with a history spanning over 200 years, it remains a key player in the Midwest economy. The Port offers the shortest, most direct route for shipments between the Midwest and the international market, connected to an extensive network of highways and railroads. In addition to supporting the region’s economic wellness, like the $50M+ effort to build a new port facility, the Port invests in the environment and public recreation, specifically through the Cat Island Chain Restoration project and Renard Island end-use efforts.

Providing Access to America’s Heartland

The Port of Green Bay is located where the Fox River empties into the southernmost point of Green Bay on Lake Michigan, supporting 14 businesses along 3 miles of riverfront.

The Port of Green Bay Impact
