Port Milwaukee

Milwaukee’s Global Trade Hub

As a leading multimodal hub on the western shore of Lake Michigan, Port Milwaukee connects Greater Wisconsin to domestic and global markets. Handling a range of cargo,  from Wisconsin-grown grain to international steel, the Port serves as a vital distribution center for the entire Midwest. It is the northern most approved point on the Great Lakes with access to the Inland River System, providing direct access to Gulf Coast ports, including Houston and New Orleans, through the Mississippi River.
